The beds were comfortable and sturdy. No "sinking into the matrass" feeling where you almost fall of the bed when you lie down. Sturdy but soft, just like they should be. Plenty of pillows. The breakfast was beyond expectations, with good quality, warm croissants, fresh fruit, cerals, and a really good Irish breakfast. The times it was served were also long enough. The showers had plenty of hot water that for once was actually hot enough, and with good water pressure. The staff was extremely helpful and understanding, helping me solve several problems. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my life and rarely have I been to a non-chain hotel offering such quality in all areas. There really was nothing concrete to complain about. Well done! I was sad that I had to leave.

The reception staff were excellent and went out of their way to be helpful. I enjoyed walking around the hotel building, and I was very happy with my room, the bathroom, and my bed. The evening meal was superb and all the staff were friendly and very good at their job. I did not feel I was being rushed through the courses, and this added to the quality of the meal. The breakfast staff were also friendly and efficient and very thorough with the cleaning tables between residents. The breakfast itself was also of a very good standard, and one of my most enjoyable breakfasts in Ireland. If I visited Dublin in the future, I would aim to stay here again.

Nice enough hotel, clean, comfortable, with friendly staff. Only a few minutes by cab from the city centre, in a pretty lively area with a few bars and restaurants locally. We ate at the bar and restaurant attached to the hotel, which had decent food and drink at reasonable prices for Dublin. The hotel is just a short walk from a stop on the route of the Dublin Express airport bus. When we said we would be leaving before breakfast, the staff arranged for us to have take-away breakfast bags without us needing to ask. Our room was large enough and had a good sized bathroom - and we heard no noise all night.

We enjoyed our stay at Uppercross House. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and were very helpful getting us transportation when needed. Since we had a rental car, the free parking was very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed the included continental and full breakfast service. Breakfasts were made to order, plentiful and promptly served by friendly staff! We also enjoyed using the common lounge for some late night pizza we picked up from across the road (very good!). The night clerk even brought us napkins without us requesting and helped clean up once we were done.

First time stay, overnight business trip. Attractive old fashioned hotel, staff very friendly. Room very clean and comfortable with modern bathroom. Some nice touches which made me smile - real hangers in the wardrobe, and a steam iron, I can't remember the last time I saw a steam iron in a hotel, feels like never. Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning. Location is a little outside of the city centre but no big deal if you like a walk through a nice part of the city or with taxis. Overall would highly recommend.
